৫৪. আর যখন মূসা (আলাইহিস সালাম) তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেন, ‘হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! নিশ্চয়ই তোমরা গোবৎসকে (নিজেদের উপাস্যরূপে) গ্রহণ করে নিজেদের প্রতি (মহা) অন্যায় করেছো। সুতরাং এখন তোমরা তোমাদের (প্রকৃত প্রতিপালক) সৃষ্টিকর্তার সমীপে তওবা করো। অতঃপর (পরস্পরে) নিজ নিজ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দাও (যারা গোবৎসের উপাসনা করেনি এবং নিজের দ্বীনের উপর here অবিচল ছিল তারা যেন গোবৎসের উপাসনাকারী, দ্বীন থেকে প্রত্যাখ্যাতদেরকে শাস্তিস্বরূপ হত্যা করে)। এটাই তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের সৃষ্টিকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে উৎকৃষ্ট (তওবা)।’ অতঃপর তিনি তোমাদের তওবা কবুল করলেন। অবশ্যই তিনি বড়ই তওবা কবুলকারী, অসীম দয়ালু।
